Missouri Family Health Council (MFHC) is pleased to announce that after a three-month funding delay, Title X funding has been restored for the region.

“This is an important step forward to ensure access to essential sexual and reproductive healthcare services for Missouri and Oklahoma communities,” said Michelle Trupiano, Executive Director. “We are especially grateful to our dedicated health center network whose unwavering commitment ensured Title X services continued amidst funding uncertainty.

"This funding restoration comes at a time when access to basic healthcare is under attack nationwide. The federal budget threatens deep cuts to Medicaid – putting millions at risk of losing coverage and leaving already under-resourced communities to shoulder the consequences. The instability of programs like Title X only further compounds these harms.

“While we celebrate this restoration, we remain deeply concerned about the precarious nature of the Title X program – the federal government’s ability to play politics with this funding leaves patients at risk of losing vital care. MFHC will continue advocating for a stable, sustainable Title X program that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of all individuals, regardless of political winds.”
